WCONLINE: The Student Writing Center

  • 02/11/2008 : SEVERE WEATHER POLICY During severe weather, please watch the “Announcements” page of the schedule and check your email to ensure that the Student Writing Center is open. If the University closes, the Student Writing Center will be closed as well and your session will be canceled, even if you do not receive a cancellation email. Once the University reopens, we will work with you to try to reschedule your session. If Athens County is under a Level 2 or Level 3 Snow Emergency, some tutors may not be able to come to campus for tutoring. If your tutor cannot keep the appointment, s/he will email you to reschedule your session. If you are unable to make your appointment because of severe weather, please log in to the schedule and cancel your appointment as soon as possible. If you do not have Internet access, you may also call 740-593-2646 to cancel your appointment. If you do not cancel your appointment it will be marked as a “no show.”
  • 04/24/2008 : CANCELING APPOINTMENTS: Several of you have reported problems with canceling appointments this quarter. We have talked with the scheduling company and they have made changes to the way that appointments are canceled. You will no longer be able to cancel appointments by clicking on them in the schedule. Instead, click on the "Control Panel" tab and look under "My Reservations." On the far right side is an option to "Delete." This will allow you to cancel appointments.
  • 09/15/2008 : WALK-IN HOURS FOR FALL QUARTER: Walk-in hours are from 7pm to 9pm Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays during fall quarter.
  • 09/24/2008 : MOO tutoring--to use this resource, please email Paul Shovlin at shovlin@ohio.edu or Candace at stewarc1@ohio.edu.
