Please read before registering:
Your appointment is a commitment; please be courteous. When you request a tutor, you are implicitly agreeing to come to your appointments on time, and prepared; if your meeting time is inconvenient, please discuss alternatives with your tutor.
We enforce a "No Show and Cancellation Policy" because our tutors' time is valuable. If you fail to notify your tutor that you will not make your appointment, it is a "No Show" and you will lose your appointment. If you cancel your appointment twice in a semester, we will give your time slot to someone who wants it more. Athletics and other co-curricular activities may very well require absences in excess of the two and your tutor will work with you on these, IF you provide sufficient notice. Your tutor also has latitude if you are participating in your sessions and there are extenuating circumstances.
If you cancel your appointment less than four hours prior to the appointment, it will be considered a "No Show".
We expect you to notify your tutor if you will be late- tutors are not required to wait more than fifteen minutes and after fifteen minutes it will be counted as a "No Show" . Tutors will not stay past the scheduled end of the appointment to make up the time when you are late.
Cell phones should be turned off or on silent. Tutors may terminate an appointment if a student answers a cell phone. If you are expecting a critical call, please tell your tutor at the beginning of your session.
Please remember to bring your text, notes and anything else you use for the class. Tutoring will only benefit you if you keep up with your assignments and bring questions with you to your appointment.
Tutoring is not a substitute for attending class; if your professor should advise us that your attendance is erratic, we may terminate the tutoring appointment.
Not any big deal- just basic courtesy. |
